Story
Astralis opened a ley-line portal. Its epicentre was near the Twins, and everyone close to it was marked by how they met it:
- Within the crater’s radius: they simply ceased, taken into a cosmic horror that left nothing to bury.
- Watched it with their own eyes: they lived, but carry a sickness ever after, the Void Glance. They see everything in broken, multidimensional angles no one else can follow.
- Heard it from far off: among them a band of Humans found patterns in the sound and set them down as dissonant, terrible hymns. They became the Star Chorus.
The Goblins, whose mountains lie nearby, were simply among those caught.
Consequences
- The epicentre is a crater in the shape of a five-pointed star, as Star Lake is.
- World’s Breach, far to the west, was untouched.
