Story
Around year 300 Astralis opened a ley-line portal: the Void Glance, a brief glimpse into the void. Some hundred years later, around year 500, Svarog sent the grounded Cinderwing Cartel a prophecy: one of the two lost Great Crystals governs portals, and they were to learn everything of portals, other dimensions and time. Then he made them masters of it. They found that shards of the First Meteor (the one that made World’s Breach) make portal magic far stronger nearby, and that far from the shards it is almost impossible.
Now
The Cartel has mastered portals and chases portal secrets and meteor shards. The Second Meteor’s site, the First Fortress, has not been investigated. The Mages’ Guild buys meteor fragments.
