Mushroom-eating shamans who build non-Euclidean structures; whoever sees one goes absolutely insane.
Founded: c. year 100 (Second Age), by Astralis, with the Deepkin
Story
In Fungorn Astralis raised a new people from the mixing of dwarf explorers and Trenchborn explorers: short and stout, with bearded tentacles — the Deepkin. Their shamans, the Bent Eye, eat the mushrooms and build non-Euclidean structures no one has yet seen; the story goes that whoever sees one goes absolutely insane.
In Age III part of Fungorn was burned (c. year 610), and the Deepkin, true mushroom-folk and immune to the Fungal Plague, raised an army (c. year 630) and laid endless siege to Glaive Port (c. year 640).
Now
Nothing has been heard of them by name since their founding. Their people besiege Glaive Port without end.
