They command the fungal dead — and the dead now patrol Glaive Port’s streets without harming anyone.
Founded: c. year 630 (Third Age), by Svarog through Malakai · Evil
Story
In plague-ridden Glaive Port a leper healed himself and began to heal others: Malakai the Messenger, Svarog’s avatar. In those same years he founded the Mycomancers — humans, orcs, anyone — magic users who command the fungal dead. They became Glaive Port’s ruling class. The Deepkin, true mushroom-folk, held raising corpses with fungus a travesty and raised an army.
Some ten years later, around year 640, Malakai raised Glaive Port a defensive army, the Deepkin laid siege, and the city held: a siege without end (Siege of Glaive Port). Then zombified Mycomancer agents slipped out of besieged Glaive Port in disguise to found Mycomancer cells that work in secret in other cities — evil, wanting to spread the fungus everywhere.
Now
Orcs are Glaive Port’s nominal rulers; the Mycomancers the real ones, through religion. The fungal dead patrol the streets. Their cells hide in other cities — perhaps the Bazaar.
