Story
As Astralis walked his coloured shore (Coloured Sands), they came out of the sea. Where the lower half of a skull should be they have tentacles. They are few, and they reproduce by rituals not even they fully understand. “Trenchborn” is what other races call them. Their order, the Echoes of the Void, senses that sound, dance and colour together can reach their ancestors, but does not yet know how. Trenchborn explorers mixing with dwarf explorers in Fungorn became the Deepkin.
Now
Nothing touched them in the Third Age. They remain a mystery.
