Svarog let chaos choose his place, and struck the near-centre of the continent with something from the sky.
c. 6,000 years before year zero (First Age), by Svarog
Story
The impact left a crater as deep as a canyon and perfectly round, riddled with tunnels and cavities. It was perhaps once far deeper than anyone now knows, and the races would one day call it World’s Breach. Around it Svarog baked the land into a desert where no moisture survives. Some thousand years later, c. 5,000 years before year zero, Atlas’s sister river came to pour over its rim in the Breach Falls.
Consequences
- Shards of the first meteor make portal magic far stronger nearby. Far from the shards it is almost impossible. The Cinderwing Cartel learned this around year 500 (Portals).
- Nobody knows what the meteor was.
