The lizardman nobility — each of whom became noble by killing every sibling from his own clutch of eggs.
Founded: c. year 100 (Second Age), by Atlas, with the Lizardmen
Story
Atlas made the Lizardmen in Sylvanus’s jungles on the southern island: evil, wholly tribal, ruled by Atlas’s First — the nobles, each of whom became so by killing every sibling from his own clutch of eggs. Around year 200 Sylvanus gave them their “city,” a chain of jungle villages.
In Age III the lizardmen took up arms (c. year 630, Sylvanus), the Hollow Knight raised them a second army, and Sylvanus sent them through the Underdark against the Tree of Life. The Grove’s misdirection held, its assassins killed their chiefs, and the lizardmen turned on each other; the Hollow Knight built them a second war camp and they split into two warring factions around the Underdark mouth. Around year 640 Elyndra and the water elves took that mouth; the lizardmen were broken but not destroyed.
Now
The lizardmen are split in two and at war with each other on Jungle Island; the elves hold one Underdark mouth, the lizardmen the other.
