Story
Atlas made them on Jungle Island. Their nobles, Atlas’s First, each earned the rank by killing every sibling from his own clutch of eggs. Sylvariel slipped among them and founded the Arcane Fang, who want every crystal for their sons. Sylvanus gave them a “city” (c. year 200): a chain of jungle villages, a civilisation of the Amazon.
Around year 630 they took up arms. The Hollow Knight raised a second army of them. Sylvanus sent them through the Underdark against the Tree of Life, but the Grove’s misdirection held, its assassins killed their chiefs, and they turned on each other. The Hollow Knight built them a second war camp, and they split into two warring factions around the Underdark mouth. Elyndra and the Water Elves took that mouth around year 640. The lizardmen were broken but not destroyed.
Now
They are in civil war: two factions. Their war camps on Jungle Island still stand, and the elves hold the island’s Underdark mouth. The remnants of the two armies that went through the Underdark camp at the mainland mouth, fighting each other.
