Skilled sailors who spread through the islands along the cold currents. Once neutral, now decadent.
Created: c. 2,000 years before year zero (First Age), by Sylvanus · Orders: Explorers · Last Tide · Astral Chord · Elf Outpost Marines · Water Druids
Story
They were made skilled and neutral, and the bamboo let them build rafts to spread through Sylmara. The Explorers set out to find what lies on far shores. One party of them, turned by Sylvariel, became the xenophobic Last Tide of Nerathis. The Astral Chord learned bamboo music from the stars. Their cities multiplied: Selvaruun, the Elf Outpost, and the Twin City.
In the Third Age the Last Tide raided the northern shores and bound itself to Glaive Port (Evil Alliance). The elves hid the Grove around the Tree of Life, allied with the Spider People (Elf-Spider Alliance), and saw off Glaive Port’s armies in the Great Battle of the Third Age. Karros and Kassander fought them to a standstill in the War Zone. Their island’s crystal was the one that shattered. Sylvariel led them against the Lizardmen, and with Elyndra they took Jungle Island’s Underdark mouth. Then, having always had it easy, they grew arrogant and decadent, and the whole civilisation was corrupted (c. year 640, Svarog).
Now
They hold a foothold on the north shores and one Underdark mouth on Jungle Island. They fight the endless War Zone. The Last Tide’s navy cannot build new ships for a generation.
