A walking mass of rock, standing between the hills and the mountains: “the construction worker.”
Avatar of Atlas · appeared c. 3,000 years before year zero, in the First Age
Story
The Talus rose between the hills and the mountains. Atlas gathered lightning at the spear-tip of Sky Spear and struck him, and the pieces that fell became proto-Dwarves. The dwarves worship the Talus and the one who made him. At Atlas’s command:
- c. 2,000 years before year zero the dwarves built Kharag Duun above the Star Metal deposit
- c. year 100 he raised the Magical Forge, fed with magma from the mountain’s depths
- c. year 500 he founded the Bazaar, a city with no walls where the roads cross the river
Around year 600 he was Atlas’s hand when the Order of the Eternal Peace called humans and centaurs to arms in Greenhaven. Around year 630 he raised another dwarf army, and some ten years later he marched with the dwarves and took Greenhaven as its wardens.
Now
He led the dwarves into Greenhaven, which is now dwarf-ruled and governed by the Magisters.
