A war that ended in a tie, and so never ends — now fought in a swamp.
Made: c. year 630 (Third Age) (Astralis against Sylvanus’s elves). Flooded: c. year 640 (Third Age).
Story
Karros and Kassander led the armies of Heart of the Plains and Greenhaven (the “Liberatorians”) against the Water Elves on their land. The battle ended even, and a battle no one wins never ends: a standing War Zone where Humans and Centaurs fight elves without end.
Around year 640 Astralis struck Atlas in the eye: the Left Eye of Atlas collapsed on one side and its waters flooded the War Zone into swamp. The armies stopped knowing friend from foe, and men who had been killing each other hauled each other out of the quicksand. Karros and Kassander came home from the front in those same years.
Now
The swamp where the Left Eye broke; humans and centaurs against water elves, forever.
